Jaebeom Kim is a graduate student in a PhD course in bioinformatics at the Seoul National University.

His experience with bioinformatics began with an undergraduate thesis project in Laboratory of Plant Genomic Recombination.

He has begun developing a metagenome classifier, Metabuli, as a member of Martin Steinegger team since the mid of 2020.

He is interested in finding and solving methodological problems in bioinformatics and currently focusing on metagenomics.
