I am a intern/prospective PhD student from Germany currently focusing on HMM and probability based sequence alignment. During and after my bioinformatics studies as the University of Tübingen I was a masters student and research assistant at Detlef Weigel’s Lab in the Max-Planck Institute for Biology. There I developed a gene-age inference based sequence decontamination tool and assisted the creation of on large scale data processing pipelines for shotgun sequencing data. Now as part of Martin Steinegger’s group I want to diver deeper into the development of efficient bioinformatical tools.
